About
Welcome to Lamesa, a vibrant dining gem nestled on the 5th floor of the Asiana Hotel in the heart of Dubai. Here, you'll discover a culinary journey through the rich flavors of Filipino cuisine, complemented by a warm, inviting atmosphere that is often filled with laughter and lively celebrations.
Lamesa caters to those seeking a taste of home or an introduction to the delightful delicacies of the Philippines. You’re greeted with a generously diverse buffet, featuring beloved favorites such as crispy pata and lechon belly, available at reasonable prices—starting at just AED 89 per person. Your culinary experience at Lamesa might occasionally be accompanied by a bustling crowd, but that energy only adds to the restaurant's charm, transforming meals into memorable gatherings.
What truly sets Lamesa apart is the freshness and authenticity of its offerings. Guests rave about the tender beef, the juicy pork dishes, and an array of seafood that includes succulent prawns and tasty calamari. The star dishes here—lechon and crispy pata—are often described as "tender, juicy, and with a perfectly crispy skin," making them must-tries for any first-time visitor. Additionally, Lamesa surprises guests with selections of international dishes, bridging cultures for a truly unique dining experience.
The dessert options here are equally tempting, ranging from traditional Filipino cream cakes to delightful chocolate tarts and classic brownies. Many diners comment on how these desserts provide a light and airy finish, a refreshing alternative that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. Although some guests have noted the absence of ice cream, the assortment of sweet treats available—including signature Filipino desserts—provides plenty of options to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Meanwhile, the attentive service at Lamesa deserves a mention. Staff members are often praised for their friendliness and dedication, ready to accommodate special requests and make experiences personal—like singing a birthday song for a celebrant, adding that extra touch to special occasions.
In light of guest reviews, the ambiance can prove a double-edged sword; while the liveliness adds to the experience, it can get quite noisy during peak hours, especially when families gather for celebrations. However, this often just reflects the restaurant’s role as a cherished space for connection and fellowship among guests. If you’re seeking a meal that feels like a warm hug and a slice of home, Lamesa is ready to welcome you with open arms.
Whether you're a local or a traveler, if you're hungry for authentic Filipino fare that offers fantastic value and an engaging atmosphere, Lamesa at Asiana Hotel is a destination well worth your time. Come for the food, stay for the memories, and indulge in the flavors that celebrate the spirit of Filipino dining!
“ It was our first time dining at this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, it wasn't a “wow” experience. The place was quite crowded and noisy, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the occasion. The food was just average in terms of taste, although there was a wide variety of options to choose from. The highlight for us was the pork section—it was decent and stood out among the rest. We still appreciate the effort of the staff in singing a birthday song for my husband. It was a nice touch that added some warmth to the experience. ”
“ Enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner Filipino favorites like crispy pata and lechon belly at AED 89 per person. Cozy, inviting atmosphere and attentive crew—special thanks to Saw Swe for exceptional service. ”
“ Fantastic authentic Filipino food for the price, really worth the $$ at 100AED for dinner in the weekends. Good variety and selection of carbs (garlic rice, tomato rice, Alfredo, seafood marinara, white rice, 1 fried noodle), noodle soup, many different Filipino pork dishes, seafoods of calamari, mussels, prawns were available too. There is also fried tempura, fried fish, beef kare kare, pork sisig (my favourite!!). The star is def the Lechon and Crispy Pata. Really well done, tender, juicy, really crispy skin. It’s a really good pork. There is also a salad selection, cheese selection, fruits available too. I love their pizzas too… it isn’t authentic Italian or anything v impressive but I like that it is thin crust. There is no ice cream but a large selection of desserts from cream cakes, cheesecake, chocolate tart, apple pie, brownies, cream puff, and a few traditional Filipino desserts. I really love the Filipino cream cakes as it isn’t as dense, sweet, rich as western cakes. The cream in the cakes was a lot but it was more like whipping cream and wasn’t as thick / sickening as buttercream. The ambience could be too noisy for some as it can get crowded, with the staff singing birthday songs for people here for birthday celebrations. But it’s understandable as Lamesa is regarded as a place for bonding and gatherings. The service was good, staff was quick to clear the plates, and attend to my other requests of tissue, ice. But beverages are not part of the buffet price. As an Asian Chinese, the food at Lamesa feels like comfort food, and is aligned with my palate. I love love love this place, came here 3 times in the 10 days I stayed in Dubai. I could see how popular and authentic this place is with the crowd and number of Filipino guests. I really love this place, could come back just for the desserts haha. The mains, meats are all really well done, plus super value for money. I’d recommend Lamesa to anyone who wants to try Filipino food. ”
“ If you're in the mood for a Filipino food feast, La Mesa at Asiana Hotel is definitely worth checking out. They serve up all the classic Filipino dishes you'd expect, and everything is packed with flavor. On top of that, they also offer some tasty international options, like Japanese and Korean food. It's a great spot if you're craving a mix of familiar comfort food and something a little different. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and you’ll leave feeling satisfied. Definitely recommend it for anyone who loves a good Filipino meal! ”
“ The food is delicious and the staff are very accommodating! Their beef dishes are super tender and tasty. It’s definitely worth it, especially with the unlimited Crispy Pata and Lechon Belly available at 7 PM, absolutely delicious! The only downside for me was the pork sisig, it was a bit too greasy and stuck together because of the fat. Also, I hope some parents won’t let their kids run around and scream inside the place. It gets really noisy and can be quite irritating. At the very least, they should remind their kids to behave. ”
“ We’re at La Mesa in the Asiana Hotel, and trust me—if you’re craving authentic Filipino flavors, this place is a jackpot. They’ve got a feast that’s unapologetically Filipino and served buffet-style, so bring your appetite. From crispy, golden lechon kawali that’s pure perfection to kare-kare that’s rich, nutty, and cooked just right—every bite delivers. We swung by on a Monday and it was wonderfully laid-back. But fair warning: weekend crowds are real, so prep yourself if you’re planning a Saturday or Sunday visit. If you’re chasing down a legit Filipino buffet in Dubai, La Mesa is where your cravings end. ”
“ Great Filipino buffet with amazing food and a cozy ambiance! Special thanks to Michael for his excellent service—friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. Highly recommend! ”
